How To Make A Santa Hat Out Of Paper

Santa Hat Craft step 1

1 – Download and print your Santa Hat Craft Template.

There are four sheets to the printable. Print the first two sheets (beard, moustache and hat trimmings) onto white paper. The third and fourth sheet are for the hat. You can print them straight onto red paper like we have or print them onto white paper to colour in or trace around.

Santa Hat Craft step 2

2  – Cut out all your template pieces.

Santa Hat Craft step 3

3 – Glue the two white hat trimmings onto the red hat bands.

Santa Hat Craft step 4

4 – Staple the two red bands together at one end to make a long band. Turn the band up-side-down and glue the triangle hat pieces equal distance along the inside of the red band. (Use the photo above  as a guide.)

Santa Hat Craft step 5

5 – Now staple the other ends of your red headband together to make a circle. (Measure it to fit the  head size of the wearer.)

Santa Hat Craft step 6

6 – Bring the points of the red triangles together and glue them one by one on top of each other to close the top of the Santa hat.

Santa Hat Craft step 7

6 – Glue the white pom pom onto the top of the Santa hat.

Santa Hat Craft step 8

7 – Glue the beard onto the rim of the hat. (Measure it against the face of the wearer to glue it at the correct height.)

Santa Hat Craft step 9

8 – Position the moustache just below the wearers nose and glue it into place.
